Thread: so, Windows and linux, cross contamination

hey folks,
i'm wondering if knows security regarding windows accessing linux partition. brother borrowed laptop , used windows partition(by mean used windos, dual boot). wonder if program in windows can access bits of memory used ubuntu. know programs in linux give seg-fault if go out of allocated space, though progs in windows (depending on version) can go out of allocated space.

know if using pointers, in c or c++, in windows partition can go outside of ntfs partition, ext2,3,4...?? ie. can process in windows access linux partition, , alter contents. far i'm aware, yes can.
f.g.
