Thread: Switched to fibre optics, killed internet.

hi,

had great pleasure of switching standard dsl bt infinity (fibre optics) included switching dsl belkins router new cable bt home hub unfortunatly.

ps3 went online wirelessly fine, our ipads/pods/phones went on ok wirelessly , 2 out of 3 wired ubuntu 11.04 desktops went online ok. have macbook dual booting 11.04 haven't tried yet. problem computer wired same isn't working, can connected , ubuntuone did updating file cuts out, can't seem connected internet!

didn't change previous day, switched on. significant difference can think of between computer , other desktops mine has kde desktop installed.

things i've tried:
- restart router
- boot different de eg. normal, classic, kde
- unplug ethernet cable , plug in
- restart computer

computer connected using powerline system along 1 of other desktops can't that, must @ end.

ideas? heard of before?
i'm sure going stupid , simple.

thanks,

ken

have tried different cable plugged different port on home hub? i've seen these go out dodgy port, , have had issues cables giving unexpectedly.
