Best color correction method?
i'm dealing particularly problematic indoor shoot of wedding usual looked perfect on camera's monitor, not great when viewed on big screen.
when did color correction in edius , vegas time ago, find area close 50% gray possible , click there eyedropper, same whites , blacks. difference under 2 programs, when clicked on grays , whites, area had clicked on turn gray or white, in premiere cs6 makes small change towards white, not point area white, in other words, not if have done white balance on site (which in case wasn't possible because of time , sunlight coming in through windows, clouds kept passing , changing color temperature time).
so i'm wondering if there tutorial somewhere on best way color correction. don't mean video guy posts on youtube, mean tutorial professional knows.
you find tutorials online ( did search?) there great books available , more comprehensive online tutes.
check out amazon steve hullfish / fowler books.
a worthwile investment ever.
cc tip:
before cc or grade ....sort levels first. (dont use eyedropper method).
use wfm , blacks set 1st ...then white (highlights) ..them gammas ( mid tones) last.
that set levels order , start point cc / grade.
do not color cc work until these sorted.
