Camera Raw 6.7 crashes

i'm using cs 5.5 camera raw 6.7 on windows xp.  suddenly, i'm having challenges images opened , edited in camera raw 6.7, either trying save directly disk or opening in photoshop.  getting "out of memory" errors.  i've purged caches, etc., no avail.

how free space have on hard drive?  should have 10-20% free operation.
