what is making shape gradient. adding solid color rectangle behind shape, selecting shape , rectangle , creating opacity mask. creates nice blend effect , hope looks smooth on screen in print.
in 1 of previous posts in photoshop had me out situation of "banding", helped me adding curve layer top of layers , adjusting sliders way right in order see on screen "banding" more clearly. there way in illustrator? recommended designing in 16-bit, think these graphcis creating large (for booth displays) , imagine file outrageous in size.
thank in advance.
banding caused small amount of tint change in gradiation on large area. doing booth graphics large scale cance of thsi issue coming up increased.
but have advantge of graphcis looked @ distance, optical jump nto noticeable, unless next graphics.
if had gradation of 9m going 6m on 4 feet, small 3% of dot change potentially area woud have problem. stay away such small changes in tint on long distance, if have no other color channel cover up.
but don't worry much, there many other factors consider such output device, humidity, papaer affects whether have banding or not. way find out test print.
