Newer Linux Add-In?
hi there!
i find acp great product, i'm having problems using linux. can't share desktop or upload files, since can't install add-in.
according to
http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/kb/install-connect-meeting-add-ubuntu.html
only ubuntu lucid supported. support term of lucid, in extended phase, end. i'm running oneiric , upgrade precise. not install obsolete operating system, supported few months more, purpose of using acp.
the .deb file installs fine on system, acp doesn't recognize package being installed. acp gives me option (re)install .deb file , add-in functionality missing.
so, question: adobe's plans (and time schedule) supporting newer ubuntu versions?
thanks help,
mikael
per adobe:
meeting add-ins adobe connect 9
adobe connect 9 meetings add-ins not backwards compatible prior versions of adobe connect. however, can install adobe connect 9 add-in co-exist on system previous add-in versions, enabling screen sharing capabilities both adobe connect 9 , earlier versions of adobe connect. please note there no add-in ubuntu 10.04 linux. users on linux (ubuntu, red hat , opensuse) still able attend, host, or present in meetings in browser. new add-in ubuntu linux planned in service pack following adobe connect 9 release.
