is possible after these years i'm still having laggy video playback, horrible skype problems, non working microphone , horrid keyring manager or whatever seahorse is.
ok skype has nothing ubuntu , linux community thats 1 big minus willing switch on ubuntu world.
tried watch 1 of 1080p movies 2 hours ago , i've spent 2 hours trying recompile mplayer runs movie without lags, micro stuns , sound problems.
used standard way of compiling latest svn version of mplayer vdpau support , installing smplayer. tried howto here. used mplayer install synaptics. added ppa's mplayer build etc. every way gave me playback problems. frustrating. know movie fine because tried on wifes notebook , runs smooth media player classic.
how can find out issue , how can elementary thing running flawless ?

xubuntu 11.04
svn mplayer build 33713
smplayer repo
vdpau video output
nvidia 275.09.07
9800gt 1gb

since you're comfortable compiling source, might recommend giving mplayer2 try?

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
