Thread: nvidia driver x won't start "no screen found"
i manually downloaded , installed nvidia video driver it's website. however, after running nvidia-xconfig xorg doesn't start saying "no screen found"

i'm having same problem thinkpad's nvidia geforce 3100m. gotta love proprietary drivers!
reason behind dual graphics card (integrated intel hd graphics + nvidia card) cause trouble. can either force dedicated graphics through bios or delete /etc/x11/xorg.conf file , forget nvidia altogether.
