Thread: Ubuntu can't start with Ati Radeon 9250.

so, installed new version of ubuntu (11.04), using windows while..and first thing saw after inserting dvd , restarting pc ubuntu freezes @ black screen while loading , wont continue. changed onboard graphic card , working perfectly.

once installed, shutdown pc, put agp video card (radeon 9250) , tried run ubuntu, freezes on grub. practically wont display grub start options or anything, purple color , nothing more.

can please tell me, why happening ?

pc:

motherboard: gigabyte ga-8vm800pmd-775
processor: intel pentium 4 (3.00)
onboard video card: via (agp)
agp video card: ati radeon 9250 (250mb)


note in previous versions (long time ago) working perfectly.

it may not compatible radeon card. try thread:

can ubuntu boot if blacklist radeon module.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
