Thread: Ubuntu freezes, then Flash crashes in Firefox

i've been using ubuntu 10.04, firefox 4.0.1 6 months, , have recent version of flash player installed via flash aid. have nvidia quadro nvs 135m graphics card replaced recently.

streaming baseball game when video froze (sound kept playing). exited full screen mode, , caused entire computer freeze! nothing happened when repeatedly pressed alt+f4 , ctrl+alt+f2 (i'm sure there's better response frozen computer! it?)

after few minutes of paralysis, computer started working again, , firefox helpfully informed me flash player plugin has crashed yet again. ran firefox terminal, , tried watch game again. same thing happened eventually, , here's terminal said:

code:
(firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_ref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_unref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): gdk-critical **: gdk_window_get_events: assertion `gdk_is_window (window)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_ref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_unref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): gdk-critical **: gdk_window_get_events: assertion `gdk_is_window (window)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_ref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed (firefox-bin:2846): glib-gobject-critical **: g_object_unref: assertion `g_is_object (object)' failed
