Thread: Wireless USB not recognised


i've installed ubuntu on old compaq presario 700 laptop; doesn't have wireless network trying use 'texet' wireless usb adapter. seems ubuntu doesn't recognise doesn't seem turned on, , options connecting wireless networks greyed out.
advice on how initialise appreciated.

(previously have tried puppy linux & lubuntu on laptop , both recognised wireless immediately, ubuntu doesn't?)
