Aspect ratio question
i video production teacher , switched year fcp premiere pro.
we have change of our video 4:3 (for our community access ch).
i use canon hf r32 cameras. record in 16:9. in years past, use clip wrap , convert video 4:3, .mov.
now, in premiere pro, don't think need convert video. premiere reads avchd files.
but 16:9. how change or setup sequence setting video 4:3?
what have tried far, zooms in on video , if export 4:3, there black bars across top , bottom.
what missing?
thanks,
ben
is footage you're shooting hd or sd?
well if edit in 16x9 , export 4x3 you're going end black bars on top , bottom that's way goes. way can avoid letterboxing by
editing 16x9 footage in 4x3 sequence , center cutting everything. mean keep what's in center because since 16x9 wider 4x3 cut off sides.you have plan while shooting though.
if footage sd can make sequence showing in picture. don't scale footage down @ unless don't mind letterboxing.
however if you're wanting make 4x3 sequence can make new sequence , set settings 4x3 put 16x9 footage in timeline. edit have suggested.
