my situation have images alt text , have add title info. image (title=" ") duplicate of alt text.

so, there way tell system find alt text tags , replace them alt text , title tag, title tag duplicate of alt info.?

     find alt="*.*"

     replace alt="*.*" title="*.*"

i tried *.* , not work.

please don't add new questions year-old thread. have branched new thread.

first of all, although it's possible want, it's not idea. purpose of alt text provide description of image benefit of text-only browsers , assistive technology blind. purpose of title attribute add information.

if both alt text , title attribute contain same information, information read aloud twice screen readers blind, driving them stir crazy.

having said that, if you're determined go ahead, how it.

  1. back file(s) want edit.
  2. in find , replace dialog box, select search source code
  3. put following in find field:  alt="([^"]+)"
  4. put following in replace field: alt="$1" title="$1"
  5. select "use regular expression" checkbox.
  6. click replace all.

the values find , replace fields must copied are.
