Is this product dead?

i have read current edition of adobe visual communicator has been out 3 years.  have piloted since last spring , have reached point have abandon , move on.  think idea behind software fantastic, controls not intuitive, , features not reliable.  spent hours working on piece incorporated images (jpg's) , short wmv video clips (320-240), own webcam.  during rehearsal, record, , review, webcam image came across fine, during review.  when went publish flv upload our learning management system (canvas), webcam video disappeared.  supposed able rotate , crop images changes not take.  after read documentation , followed steps religiously, result null.

 

that's me.  work on these products recommend them faculty, there no way can sign on vc college faculty. 

 

again, think idea fantastic.  record , drop in clips , movie clips other files (ppts) create multimedia learning presentation.  needs seamless , effortless.  vc but. 

 

please not abandon idea abandon product.  it's not designed.  idea conceived.

from i've seen think product dead. unaware of development efforts other re-branding since adobe purchased serious magic stuff. think adobe wanted cool chroma keying bits understand, ended in other adobe products.

 

as elearning, adobe has captivate , seems intent on elearning application. while captivate doesn't offer "record on webcam", believe companion product called presenter does. presenter powerpoint add-in.
