Native Joomla ACL in conjunction with publishing rights... - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi all, think question today pertains native joomla acl in conjunction publishing rights, , yes, have searched forums , such, no case seemed patterned after mine. use joomla 2.5.8, latest production release of writing. on site have category blog link (user submissions) on main menu visible registered users allowing them submit various content. however, upon visiting page/link under registered user account, see under editor in publishing heading, it seems given drop-down menu access different category , access levels default, though when creating category blog link, specified default category (submissions) these submissions should submitted under , category accessible me. in addition, regarding access level dropdown, if correct, registered user should not able give higher permissions submitted content allowed himself. should worried seems should visually restricted well? current default behavior of joomla, result of me tweaking permissions elsewhere, perhaps there conflict unseen me or approaching wrong way? if is default behavior of joomla, there type of workaround available? (i don't consider hard-coding joomla and/or editing each , every users permissions option). in essence, trying accomplish want allow registered users submit content (without administrative-type options such before-mentioned), , have content unavailable them in special category available me until review , publish it. in advance helping point me in right direction , sorry long explanation, wanted clear first time around.
