Thread: gsfonts error after upgrade to 10.10

recently upgraded 10.10 via update manager. after upgrade epson stylus r340 printer wouldn't work. in main menu went system->administration->printing. nothing listed under printers longer. clicked help->troubleshooting. suggested go system->administration->services. no services menu listed under system->administration. in terminal ran [sudo lshw], no printer listed. went synaptic package manager , searched epson , checked reinstall on packages installed. reinstall returned error "e: gsfonts: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1" followed several package dependency problems. followed same steps after search cups in synaptic package manager. after packages reinstalled got same error, "e: gsfonts: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1". error followed list of broken package dependencies. again followed same steps gsfonts installed packages. reinstall produced same results again.

suggestions on try next.

i have upgraded again. time 11.04. problems fixed. however, i'm not sure if "unity".
