Thread: lspci showing ethernet but ifconfig doesn't


hi everyone! fresh installed ubuntu 11.04 there's immediatly problem: ethernet not recognized!

so, why lspci correctly lists device?

but ifconfig doesn't ??

i can't understand what's problem.

ifconfig show active connections - ifconfig -a should show of them.
lshw -c network should show details.
