Thread: ubuntu 11.04 is works on lenovo g 560

hi,

buyed new laptop.lenovo g 560.

installed ubuntu 10.4 on laptop.but touch-pad not working.instead of touch-pad. m using usb mouse.some times system hanging if touch, touch-pad.

please suggest me stable version works touch-pad n wireless cards.

ubuntu 11.04 works..

after reading review: (http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsid=5860) think can safely not fault of touchpad itself, not operating system. excerpts above review:

planning purchase notebook should invest in external mouse.

according model's specs, should have come windows 7 pre-installed. if yes, touchpad work correctly in windows 7?

os choice, if version 'lts' version (ubuntu 10.04.2 lts), i'd pretty , stable. if wireless working in it, i'd suggest stick , try disabling touchpad bios if possible.

alternatively, may try linux mint or ubuntu 11.04 if wish. informed 11.04 not quite stable yet.
