Why there's a lenght difference between 24fps and 23,976 fps timelines with the same clip?
i working on 23,976fps project , i've tried import short animated sequence of 44 tiff frames in timeline in premiere cs5.
i've imported sequence, interpreted footage 23,976fps (as rendered in ae) check before sending finish house.
first issue. if set framerate 23,976, premiere cs5 shows me 23,98 on interpret footage window. i've assumed rounded number.
when drag clip 23,976 sequence, clip shows 43(!) frames length on info panel. misses 1 frame. putting sequence on original video, misses frame.
i decided make test. , placed same clip, interpreted same way on 24fps sequence, , clip shows 44 frames length on info panel.
how can, same clip, shows different amount of frames (i'm not talking time, raw frames), on different timelines? not make sense! if sequence has 44 frames, should show 44 frames independent of timeline i've imported it. right?
just test, i´ve imported same sequence on ae, , in shows 44 frames on 23,976 timeline. how can trust premiere frame interpreting way?
just 1 more thing. scene used base ae animation, has 44 frames, , measured , cut 30s film on same premiere having weird behavior.
can explain me have happened? it´s driving me crazy!
thanks in advance

before import image sequence, go edit>preferences>media... , set intermediate timebase 23.976.
