Acrobat X Pro installed, but Help didn't
i work @ large agency—about 2800 employees—and cannot acrobat x pro.
but isn't adobe's fault. upgraded 9 x @ least 8 months ago. ever since, whenever 1 of has hit "help," have gotten same message:
there's reason browser can't find file @ address. there aren't files there. in fact, there no /x folder in c:/program files/common files/adobe/help/en_us/acrobat/.
we have uninstalled , reinstalled our nal. same result.
our folks should be—that adobe online, there no files installed on our computers. funny thing, though: has been online while. found installation of acrobat 9 pro, copied /9 folder /adobe/help/en_us/acrobat installation of acrobat x pro, renamed folder /x instead of /9, , voila! taken correct topic our context, regardless of doing. worked.
except taken for 9, not x.
still, insists there no files on cds, there no files downloaded adobe's site, , there should no such files—indeed, no /help folder—on our c: drives.
and closed 7-month-old ticket no progress on fix.
some of affected on windows 7; others on windows xp. seems shouldn't matter, though.
is there place can point guys find solution problem?
