How does Flash Player differ on various browsers?
- internet explorer: flash player installed activex® plug-in. installing flash player in internet explorer doesn't install flash player on other browsers, such mozilla firefox, opera, or safari.
- on windows 8.x , 10 microsoft integrated flash player in internet explorer , edge browser (windows 10). updates distributed microsoft via windows update.
- mozilla firefox, safari, other npapi-based browsers: flash player installed npapi plug-in. installing flash player in of these browsers automatically installs flash player in other browsers, too. example, if install flash player in mozilla firefox, flash player gets automatically installed in safari if safari present in machine.
for installing flash player in browser, using browser, go adobe site, download flash player , double-click downloaded file launch flash player installer.
- opera, chromium-based apps: flash player installed ppapi plug-in. chromium-based apps need enable support ppapi plug-in, therefore, installing ppapi plug-in chromium-based browser doesn't enable in different chromium-based browser.
for installing flash player in browser, using browser, go adobe site, download flash player , double-click downloaded file launch flash player installer. - google chrome: flash player integrated google chrome. don't need install separately. if version of chrome still referencing older version of flash player try updating google chrome manually.
