Save all user input in one file named by user

after many hours still not closer answer.

i have desktop software assignment. making novel writing software using adobe flash builder 4.5. there textareas in app users has type into. dont understand how save users input single file can load again continue work. if starts new project must load fields empty again , save new folder.

 

i saving single component text file , laoding again. if have 10 texteditors in application 1 one characters history, , 1 other characters history etc. how save input 1 xml file.

 

i hope question makes sense. don't mind learning if know go.

 

(add on thought) instance have tabnavigator character, world, objects , editor tabs. each tab has user input needs saved under user defined filename.  how go doing that?
