Thread: Constraining resolution
i'm having devil of time trying prevent resolution think overdriving monitor. i'm able resolution want when login, when reach login screen, it's high, , don't know how change that. googling advice directs me /etc/x11/xorg.conf there isn't 1 , far advice directed @ me control grub's resolution, which, of course, nothing because login screen comes after grub.
i'm running 10.04.

hi, should have one. type in terminal
hit enter, after opens, open file manager,click on file system, etc, x11,xorgconf, drag xorgconf open gedit window , can change file when done save , close gedit. here instructions changing xconf file.code:sudo gedit
