Thread: Geany not working in KDE?

i switched kubuntu, , although i'm loving it, i'm missing of favorite tools - of i've found alternatives for. i've read geany ide should run fine on kde, when install , try launch, hangs. icon bounces around cursor it's loading, , window switcher in task bar shows trying load. , after 10sec stops - , screen stares @ me. here's output when try run via konsole:

if reason geany broken kde now, suggest better general purpose ide? ones i've found specific (or @ least geared towards) 1 programming language.
