Thread: Turn on / off my WiFi card

hello (new here )
have notebook toshiba satellite l650-1k6 , ubuntu 10.10 (dualboot windows 7).
have problem wifi card (bcm4313). have chance turn on , off everytime need it. there problem. till wifi turned on on windows 7, can connect wifi networks on ubuntu too. when disable wifi on ubuntu , enable again, can't see wifi networks. have restart notebook see networks again.
when turn off wifi on windows 7, can't connect wifi networks on ubuntu @ (i can't see them).
downloaded "jupiter", didn't help. doesn't know wifi card.
there chance, enable/disable wifi everytime need without problems?

it may possible turn wifi adapter on , off pressing combination of keys. possible? if wifi turned off @ keyboard (by hardware) ubuntu not able activate because switched off.

have found, windows has ability switch off wifi adapter. makes impossible ubuntu turn on. need turn wifi on in windows before shutdown. need have wifi switched on @ keyboard before load ubuntu.

when ubuntu loads searches working wifi connection. if wifi adapter switched off not find wireless network connect to. trying tune radio radio station when radio switched off. wireless adapter not receiving wireless transmissions modem/router , not work under ubuntu.

when disable wifi on ubuntu , enable again, can't see wifi networks.
how disabling wifi? clicking enable wireless? try clicking enable networking. might stimulate network manager listen transmissions router.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
