Thread: Why not tell live user the login info?

pet peeve here!

why doesn't ubuntu , others give user trying live cd or dvd out login info?!?

if trying out , have log in or become root, unless know drill, 1 wondering wtf?!?

annoying.

ubuntu's username, 'ubuntu' (lowercase 'u') , password blank how supposed know this?!?

believe there distros (not sure if still it) give user info (username is: etc.) easy.

these devs know don't need security when it's live version, right?!? geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz...

p.s. mint same darn thing!

i've never needed user name , password in live environment before... if ever asked password root leave blank... worked charm...
