Tools to fix Adobe png files & add ICC profiles?
i want submit , use pictures in lossless format png, i've noticed colors don't reproduced vividly when save in png vs. jpg or tiff because photoshop (cs5/windows) seems have broken png support (i guess gets worse in cs6)... storing color profiles in png's while not done, have been part of standard on decade.
given adobe's place providing premier image editing tools, it's hard believe they'd not support accurate color in lossless images web, i've yet see adobe produced png that contains profile.
i note, libpng, used library pngs, have ability
to read , store icc color profiles.
maybe i'll have write post processor add them on... programs read them... , @ least once, recently, in reading in png file, got profile mismatch photoshop -- indicating can read profiles (or, file named .png, and
was .jpg -- if remember file was...sigh...)...
maybe adobe release addon automatically adds & prompts for
profile settings on saves (assuming ps can use them)...
any work flows people add them? ps read them in properly?
tools used?
thanks...,

i use simple preview app comes os x add srgb profile pngs exported photoshop's save web.
photoshop read them, yes. if there not 1 in png, photoshop stupidly says "format not support profiles". if 1 in png, photoshop uses correctly.
