i have encountered situation believe serious affects directly dissemination of joomla , extensions, affects marketing worldwide, , affects online payments in general
we have experience online payments as, in age of global internet, of work in virtual world, , entertainment, need obtain resources beyond our national borders.
clearly preferred online payment system paypal, whatever reason may be.
optionally there other payment systems less preferred , have less coverage (fewer websites, fewer companies , fewer countries accept them). these payment systems use credit cards identity verification methods, true may real reason demanding credit card information. difference among payment systems time limits given closing account if cannot deliver credit card information (ie. paypal gives limit (expressed amount of usd) sending money (buying) , limit withdrawing money account. once limit reached (reality shows that rule not respected paypal , actions taken before, surprising without notice) paypal blocks account not allowing use funds. don’t know if closing account allows withdraw balance amount have in balance usd 130, , paypal has blocked withdrawal justifying actions saying 1 can’t withdraw less usd 150 because cheque has issued.
i’m not credit-card-literate i’ve never had 1 nor have been interested in having one, payments done cash, according income, i’m suspicious need identify people credit cards when in global world there other, good, means identifying people. topic wouldn’t mind following, although in thread.

wow! interesting story. based on experience @ paypal there no such limitation of withdrawal paypal account long have input bank paypal account ( tied bank/ affiliate bank ) , provide bank account paypal account verify account valid , paypal polices avoid money laundry or illegal transfer of money.
