Correct codec for web?

hi,  knowledge of after effects pretty limited, using ae 5.5 mac.  have 30sec animation attempting render , place on website.  friend recommended export quicktime file animation codec applied , should work.  attempting play file on site using: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/  doesn't seem support qt h.246, , when exporting using animation codec, coming out @ 25mb (even when reduce quality down 25%)  can help??  in advance,  andy

animation quicktime production codec not delivery codec. codec not suited production pipeline. need delivery codec , video server best results. h.264 great codec if set up.

 

the best, easiest, option host video on vider server youtube or vimeo , embed link. you'll advantage of latest video server technology. best way encode h.264 without third party software open adobe media encoder , either load ae project directly , pick composition or render production codec (lossless or lossless codec) version of movie after effects using render cue , load up. pick proper pre-set video delivery system , render away.

 

i hope helps. video production professional tools requires @ least basic knowledge of professional workflow. i'd suggest start here , through basics.

 

one last thing. link you're posing points java script slide show player not movie player. you're mixing apples , oranges. make mixing apples , bricks. 2 not closely related. it's not going work. need embed video player not jquery slideshow player playback video.
