dual layer break problem on DVD playback

hi,

 

i'm on encore cs5.1

 

i've got dual layer dvd program i'm trying output playing stops , reverts menu @ believe layer break.

 

the program approx 6.5gb in total size. encoded prior importing encore, @ highest mpeg2-dvd quality. slid quality slider way on 4 5, among other things force highest quality. source files avchd destined standard def dvd.

 

it took me little while suspect break culprit. did 1 burn disc continued playing thru offending spot , saw , said myself: "self, looks layer break me."  upon examination in middle of program.

i suppose should consider encoding @ lower bitrate , burning @ slower speed. can who's had problem tell me if fix it, before re-encode.

 

i've heard manually setting spot bereak , chose "manual" not "automatic" did nothing allow me manual control.

 

all experienced insights welcomed.

what brand of blank disc?

 

personal choice... create iso , use imgburn actual writing... more control of process

 

create iso (encore) or folder on hard drive (encore or premiere elements) , use free http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download write files or folders or iso disc dvd or bluray (send author paypal donation if program)

imgburn read actual disc brand disc, not same box label (memorex notorious buying "anything" , putting inside memorex box)

when write disc imgburn, use slowest possible speed setting, burner has best chance create "good, formed" laser burn holes... since no dvd player required read burned disc, having "good" 1 high quality blank help

use taiyo yuden single layer or verbatim 2 layer or falcon pro inkjet printable 2 layer
