Illustrator CS6 is not saving files properly.

i'm having issues illustrator cs6 (16.0.0) saving files properly.  let me give background here.

 

i work company manufactures fishing lures.  have create product cards these products packaged.  use illustrator cs6 create cards , save master file includes original text.  there, save file illustrator cs3 file since printers dealt don't have versions higher cs3.  take these cards , convert text object no 1 has deal fonts or mismatched font errors.  after this, create pdf of same file contacts @ print shop can see card files , keep reference themselves.  on several occasions now, i've gotten emails clients saying need necessary fonts print these cards.  check files should objects , being font text again.  double check these files beore sending them if should have close out these files , work on project, come files i've working on.  objects fonts again.  while, i'm saving progress.  i've been bitten many times on in past, i'm saving freak.

 

i'm using imac (2011) 3.4 ghz intel core i7 16 gig of ram, 2 gig amd radeon hd 6970m graphics, several hard drives (most being network drives) including 1tb hd came computer, macos 10.8 (mountian lion) - same occurs flavor of macos 10.7 (lion) too.

 

any ideas?

you have used type>create outlines, no live type left behind (after saving original artwork, of course), no?

 

what if save pdf, embedding font(s), , take there?
