New Hard Drive Different Root Folder Names BUT Rest is the Same

i moved files new hard drive preserved folder structure , filenames.  please tell me how remap 60,000 pictures in catalog.  did manually in pse 3 using access know use sqlite.

there has been change changing sqlite : drive identified not letter drive, drive serial number. must first find sqlite utility update database. using sqlite manager, add-on firefox. photodrawken has recommended one, confident guide you.

 

once have utility, you'll have find new drive serial number.

from dos command line, type:

vol x:

x being new drive letter

you serial in hex mode.

 

then sqlite utility, have edit volume_table table,

and replace old letter , serial number new ones.

 

(you'll have type serial number in decimal, not hex.)

 

safety note:

i first work on catalog copy.

just copy whole folder containing catalog new location, , use in 'custom location'.

you can find catalog database location menu help/system info.

it's catalog.pse10db.
