Reinstall CS2 Upgrade

cs2 installed upgrade on old xp, died. trying install on new system. old media long gone, old installs. still have cs2 media.

i recovered ps 7 s/n product list, , cs2 (ps 9) s/n matches still have media.

 

but, when try install cs2 cd, after inputting it’s s/n, wants find old install. there 3 choices presented. involve install wizard searching old install, of there none on system. after not finding wizard says either elsewhere, or call adobe customer support.

 

so, installed evaluation copy, tried activate. not recognize legitimate s/n.

 

i read there supposed way input old product s/n activate. can advise how proceed?

i don't recall whether ability reference old serial number added after photoshop cs2 - think may have been added in photoshop cs3 - if don't see option enter old s/n during install, don't have ability. 

 

it's real shame throw away discs older version of photoshop.  may have jammed royally doing that.

 

a possibility might able adobe activated - installer did call adobe customer support.
