Thread: CPU stuck at 600 MHz
how can (intel centrino) cpu run @ 1.6 ghz?
i've tried editing /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq seems locked (see post here)code:cpufrequtils 006: cpufreq-info (c) dominik brodowski 2004-2009 report errors , bugs cpufreq@vger.kernel.org, please. analyzing cpu 0: driver: acpi-cpufreq cpus run @ same hardware frequency: 0 cpus need have frequency coordinated software: 0 maximum transition latency: 10.0 us. hardware limits: 600 mhz - 1.60 ghz available frequency steps: 1.60 ghz, 1.40 ghz, 1.20 ghz, 1000 mhz, 800 mhz, 600 mhz available cpufreq governors: conservative, ondemand, userspace, powersave, performance current policy: frequency should within 600 mhz , 600 mhz. governor "powersave" may decide speed use within range. current cpu frequency 600 mhz. cpufreq stats: 1.60 ghz:0.00%, 1.40 ghz:0.00%, 1.20 ghz:0.00%, 1000 mhz:0.00%, 800 mhz:0.00%, 600 mhz:100.00% bears@bears-laptop:~$
i've tried
also addedcode:laptop:~$ cpufreq-set -u 1600000 error setting new values. common errors: - have proper administration rights? (super-user?) - governor requested available , modprobed? - trying set invalid policy? - trying set specific frequency, userspace governor not available, example because of hardware cannot set specific frequency or because userspace governor isn't loaded?code:cpufreq_cpu_module="speedstep-centrino"the above done googling , little understanding - appreciated.code:/etc/default/cpufreqd
you need run sudo, or uses cpu , automatically speed needed.
