Thread: install on xp partition (wipe clean)

hi, i've used ubuntu week , looks can safely separate *for ever* winxp! linux system on small [too small because not sure how give it] extended partition on win e:/ , sooner or later reinstall on larger logical partition, has winxp, c:/ (or sda1).

i've made system backup iso remastersys (livecd). way forward?
1. use live cd format sda1 , install (then wipe off first linux partition)?
system having 2 linux installs??

2. can inside ubuntu means?

what's typical method? perhaps there's threads on it, if point me in direction....sorry!!
ideas please!

if boot live ubuntu, can run gparted , delete windows partition(s).
after expand existing ubuntu use newly freed space.
always, backup have.

welcome free world!
