Thread: New Mouse Icon (cursor, Pointer) Only works in Firefox

basically can install new mouse theme (this 1 have installed) http://gnome-look.org/content/show.p...content=124442

*will* work, limited working in firefox. outside of firefox

ex: desktop, folders, anything. revert default icon. don't figure firefox issue, because, well. it's not issue, it's 1 doing --right-- thing.


anyway please me issue running v. 11.04 thank in advance.

i helped installed not long ago....but @ time made no mention of using 11.04. here instructions getting work in 11.04.

alternatively, , without root permissions, can in home folder per user:

1. open 'appearance'

2. click install , choose cursor tar package downloaded. should give 'theme installed successfully.' click 'apply new theme now' , exit 'appearance.'

3. open home folder , create folder called 'default' in folder /home/your_userid/.icons/

4. go folder created , right click , create empty file here. open file gedit , past line tip above '[icon theme] | inherits=your_icon_theme_folder_name'

5. save file 'index.theme'

6. logout , log in. presto!

compiz running problem.
