Beginner: updating existing Joomla site, have install ???s - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm new joomla, , have basic getting started questions initial install. existing site outdated joomla-built site hosted on bluehost, , built else. want update site basic ebusiness , social media support.

i have w7 home x64 system, , relatively computer savvy, tho not webmaster trade. long ago did ms sql installations. have website's bluehost login id , authentication. original joomba installation files not accessible me.

everything i've found create new sites - can find documentation on loading existing site new joomla installation? caveat - that's think want do, pls correct me if not right approach.

suggestions, please. i'm ready start once pointed in right direction.... diana

before started depending on how customized former developer made old site determine how complex upgrade gets.

read before upgrading.

upgrading , migrating content, menu , modules (as long modules supporting of joomla 2.5) shouldn't of problem using 'sp upgrade'

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
