Distorted Images in Word Output

hi,

i trying generate word 2010 document rh9 project, , works smoothly except screen captures, distorted (they correct width, longer should be).

in order avoid numbering issues conditional text, images inserted after shift+enter in procedures, have same formatting step/bullet.

i cannot see pattern in distortion. similar size dialog boxes may okay after 1 step, distorted after next step.

any ideas?

adding images way not cause them distorted. have tried right clicking , selecting reset size.
