InDesign overrides table attributes at creation

hello,

 

this cs4. have problem @ table creation. first noticed issue table styles had created , looked @ default table style ("basic table"), , exhibits same issue. when insert table in document, if choose "basic table" style, indesign creates basic table cell style (which "none" basic table) has override. override consistantly picks paragraph style have created.

 

(in fact, in custom table style had created, indesign did not apply cell styles associated custom table style, instead, applied default cell style "none" adding same local paragraph style override mentioned earlier!).

i notice every new text frame create comes custom paragraph style @ creation (same appears in tables).

 

i cannot figure out why indesign overrides attribute without action on part.

any pointers on how can find out root cause helpful.

for it's worth, found out issue , solution. custom paragraph style had become default paragraph style in document - wasn't problem affecting tables. explained here:
