Problem with NEF files from Nikon D4

hi everyone. find problem nef files nikon d4. when files open in viewnx2 (free viewer software nikon) perfect, shooted... in acr different... use lr4 or cs5 acr 6.7 , difference seems linked @ d-lighting function. impression acr dont read option , picture very dark original shootings. have problem?

this question used answered in faq before revised it.  so, here go again.  viewnx capable of reading of in-camera settings such as, camera profile, saturation, sharpness , other settings.  capable of doing because nikon software, , have ability program read settings raw images.  lightroom not read settings nikon cameras or other brand of camera.  part of reason different camera makers store settings differently.

 

when first started using lightroom adjusted 1 of images represented shoot until looked way wanted it.  saved adjustments default settings camera.  point onward, whenever import images settings automatically applied, , takes care of vast majority of images.  of course, still have make individual adjustments.  default settings reduce amount of how work have do.

 

active d-lighting is 1 of features lightroom not recognize.  advised not use it, or else create preset simulate effect.  provide no benefit lightroom work.

 

this fundamental difference lightroom, , must understood , implemented if going use program effectively.

 

i realize question asked in acr forum , referenced lightroom throughout.  principle same, , recommended procedure same.
