Thread: Graphical corruption after updates
first of all, stats:
pentium d 3.4ghz dual core
4gb ram
nvidia gts 450
ubutnu 10.10
wine 1.3.22
worked great last night, played wine game (il2 1946, wwii fighter plane sim) before bed. try playing game today, , find graphics corrupted until game unplayable. things horizon being redrawn on top of everything, parts of plane become visible through cockpit, , change colors @ random, etc.)
thing changed installed updates morning. (unfortunately, didn't pay attention updates.)
also, after trying few times play game, including re-booting computer, changing version of wine 1.0, , 1.2, nothing helped. noticed i'm getting graphical corruption on desktop, it's not wine issue. , i've tested game (and others) on windows side of dual-boot , there no problems there, i'm pretty sure it's not hardware issue.
tried uninstalling , reinstalling nvidia-current, no effect. can't figure out. (i "downloading package indexes failed" error additional drivers application.) have attached pic of graphical corruption occurs on desktop. (usually when flip cube in compiz.) points if can identify object on right-hand side of pic.
thoughts? in advance.
