Thread: Looking for a text editor with autosave, recover function.

hey all, used use bbedit on mac , sorely missing single feature. bbedit has "sleep" function, can't seem find feature in other editor on linux.

regularly use text editor scratchpad, if i've got 10 tabs open it's light day. ever save of these documents , don't want to, loved feature of being able close text editor , not having save these 10 or more documents, , being able re-open editor , pick left off.

have recommendations? i've tried bluefish, kate, gedit.

you might want explore gedit additional plugin package:
code:
gedit-plugins
it has example "session saver" plugin allows save multiple sessions ( gedit > file > saved sessions > save current session )

edit: gedit autosaves need enable it: gedit > edit > preferences > editor > file saving
