Thread: Not processing /etc/network/interfaces

hi,

i'm running 10.04 lucid , seems on startup it's not processing

/etc/network/interfaces, ifconfig shows "lo inet addr:127.0.0.1 ...".

running "sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart" doesn't work. network

started i'd have run "sudo ifconfig eth0 ip newmask 255.255.0.0 up" have

add route.

know why it's not reading /etc/network/interfaces file?

thank

hi,

tim
