Thread: Problems connecting my eeepc to my tv

ive bought eeepc 1001 , love little gizmo, works ubuntu im having little trouble connecting tv, when plug in via vga cable tv aspect ratio output eeepc screen changes 4:3 can view through tv screen big black bars on either side, when full screen 16:9 video lose further chunk off top , bottom end screen half size of should be, if go monitors preferences option 16:9 screen (which default no tv attached) has dissapeared off list cannot change it, want output signal tv @ normal aspect of 16:9 can use whole tv screen.

can me???

the normal native resolution on tvs using vga input 1368x768, if aren't seeing full screen, check zoom mode on tv, on 2 lcd's i've connected have set zoom mode scan. have since upgraded video card on atom 220 powered system , can use native 1920x1080 via hdmi port, still have use scan setting proper picture size.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
