Thread: Update and stuck with low resolution (640x480)
hi guys,
updated ubuntu 11.04. flawless until after reboot found myself stuck 640x480 resolution (failed lead configured monitor), , no option change it.
xorg.conf edited manually does't work (it says generated nvidia).
i'm using old kernel leftover after installation (2.6.35). pc asus eeepc 1215n. happy kernel canno't use bumblebee nvidia ion because i'm missing kernel header (2.6.35) , cannot figure out how install it...suggestion??
thanks..
k
from terminal, ( or alt + f2, run in terminal mode ) type:
sudo apt-get install startupmanager
launch startup manager "system -> administration -> startup-manager"
not sure of maximumum resolution of eepc tho.
in "boot options" tab, change resolution monitor can handle (1024x768 enough boot screen nice).
change color depth "24 bits" , press "close" button. follow reboot check fixed.
regards
