Thread: Win7: backing up just the bare minimum needed
hello,
new windows 7 home laptop not come win7 dvds use in case of virus attack.
create backups. according http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...a-fbe9d6690450 there 2 types of backup: full backup , system image.
need backup required win7 files? don't care backing own files (media, pics, documents, etc.) don't care backing stuff came pre-installed laptop, trial version of ms office or trial version of norton security or games. don't want backup stuff i've added after turning on computer, ms security essentials or vlc or gimp.
bare minimum needed in case computer wiped clean accidentally. thank you.
good morning hanzj,
first of know whether able divide difference between 2 types of backup described @ link gave (no offenseasking enable understand reply!)
"system" image exact copy of hdd containing necessary files run win after re-installation. choosing "full backup" option means choose folders want backed yourself.
if you, take system image have necessary files / drivers run windows. ok, folders pre-installed programms well, can choose time back-up yourself.
- how this! - install windows , set programms how need them , burn system image have win7 need it. safes lot of time installation / loading drivers etc.)
have nice day!
