Is it possible to import multiple shoots to multiple folders
hi,
i have seen similar questions here on forum either not i'm looking for, or older versions of lr.
what need import 1 folder / memory card , mark of photos different shoot names or headline. name should used final folder name.
my current structure:
2012
- 06_cyprus
- 07_vacation in denmark
- 07_trip oslo
i have 20.000 photos in structure imported bibble , before downloader pro. in 1 program, not have use downloader pro every time need structure photos.
the way have seen in lightroom 4 multiple imports , gets annoying! biggest factor me if continue bibble / corel aftershot or go lightroom.

imo largely depend on groupings within images importing - , on pattern of folders want them go into.
one idea: if images same card have been taken on different days, lr can separate imports automatically "by date". lr make new subfolders automatic naming scheme specify, simple matter go afterward, , rename these desired within lr's folders panel. lr can told put these suitable "year" higher level folder (month too, if desired) import preset implements this, can continue used longterm.
another idea: possible many cameras, start fresh folder on camera card on demand. can highlght natural break (for example, between shooting 1 occasion , different occasion later on same day). lr expected ignore folders within camera card can instead set organise import "by original folder". sort imported images correspondingly separate subfolders. again, these can renamed afterward.
