Raw vs sraw hot pixel issue question
from tests i've come realize lightroom processes raw , sraw files differently in lightroom 3. hot pixels automatically removed in standard raw files, sraw files not corrected same way.
it seems odd not add can't think of other reason shoot timelapses in such large format besides 1 serious issue. sraw more large enough, 2k format.
my question whether lr4 remedies issue, or if need take different route?
thank you,
sraw no longer true raw file - it's been demosaiced. call 'half-baked'. lightroom doesn't have control on things hot pixels. lightroom 4 doesn't change that, sorry.
an alternative consider timelapse shoot full raw , convert them lower resolution lossy dng format, @ similar res sraw file. you'd need cards @ time of shooting, you'd end smaller files in end, , hot pixels should removed in process lr have data work with.
