i have searched lot this, couldn't clear, up-to-date, easy understand solution problem.
have netbook 2 gigs of ram, atom n280 (1.66ghz) under ubuntu 11.04.
how can play 720p mkv files?

able under xp mpc , coreavc, couldn't manage port solution ubuntu. i'm pretty beginner on ubuntu , linux, why i'm wondering if can give me clear answer.

try using mplayer2 gnome-mplayer front end.

able play whole movie in 720 p (with many fast action scenes too) on netbook specs yours open source graphic card driver using combination. smplayer , umplayer may work front ends mplayer2 in place of gnome-mplayer, use more resources (especially umplayer) if have weak system either use command line (use mplayer without gui) or simple gui gnome-mplayer (very striped down)

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
