Thread: dist upgrade from 9.04

hi all,

trying upgrade server 9.04 10.04. running got forgotten until , don't seem able it.

understand have update 9.04 9.10, 9.10 10.04 when follow "from 9.04 9.10" instructions found here i following error;

upgrade 'jaunty' 'lucid' not supported tool.

looks me it's trying update in 1 big jump. have advice on how go doing update.

have lucid instead of karmic in sources.list file.

fix with;

code:

sudo sed -i s/lucid/karmic/g /etc/apt/sources.list

repeat go lucid

code:

sudo sed -i s/karmic/lucid/g /etc/apt/sources.list

note: if have references lucid elsewhere in apt these need removed or changed well. can check with;

code:

grep -r lucid /etc/apt/

you need issue apt-get update command after making these changes of course.
